The eyepod.
A pendant consisting of nested boxes which open to intrigue the viewer and wearer. The idea for this came initially from the human prosthetic eye which I found at a car boot sale. It struck me that the somewhat creepy item needed to be treated with humour and I liked the idea of it peeking out through a lens of natural quartz...

The boxes within.
Internal boxes, open. The top box has a mesh front, the idea being that it can be filled with scented materials.

Some of the "hidden" stones set in the chain at various points. Note also the swivel mechanisms which allow the chain to be fastened and unfastened without twisting.

Worn over the shoulder at waist level.
The odd look of the piece came from my first sketch of an idea, the circular central section being reminiscent of the styling of the Apple i-Pod. The top part is wholly derived from drawings I made of rooflines in Edinburgh.
When the piece finally sold, I made a box for it, using an old cutlery box and fabric from a pair of antique chenille curtains:
